![]() When Clorox created Green Works™ natural cleaners, we defined natural using three core principles. The ingredients must come from renewable resources, be biodegradable and free of petrochemicals. Our stringent standard sets the bar for natural cleaning very high, but we think it's worth it. |
![]() What Does Going Green Mean? Going Green means that we will only be using Clorox All Natural Greenworks products when cleaning your home or office. The owners of Brookins Cleaners come from a long family line of commercial and residential cleaning history. Brookins Cleaners began in upstate NY where we began using non-butyl citrus based cleaners that we still use today. Citrus based cleaners meant a safer environment without sacrificing cleaning strength. One of the first citrus based cleaners used by Brookins Cleaners was developed by Nelson Brookins at the University of Syracuse. Citrus 150 as it is still known today, was a completely citrus based all purpose cleaner. As well as being a strong product able to remove the toughest of stains and was safer for the drain. It of course offered a nice orange smell that helped in deodorizing the cleaning area. All natural, it meant this product could be used on kitchen counters without fear of a harmful chemical residue. Why Change? Although Citrus 150 was and still is a powerful all purpose cleaner, it lacked the advantage of offering other cleaning products for other areas such as toilet bowls, glass and bathroom cleaner. Clorox Green Works offer a more complete line of natural cleaning products. This will allow Brookins Cleaners to Go Green! We are very excited about our new Green program and hope our customers and clients will enjoy knowing that thier home or offices are being maintained enviromentally safe.
